nehhdc.com is a platform for all the indie artisans and weavers based in Northeast India. Artisans and other small enterprises can list and sell their produce online. NEHHDC also sells their own products that has been bought or outsourced from handicraft and handloom producers. The platform is owned and operated by NEHHDC.

It offers a range of products from all the eight North Eastern states namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. The organisation procures handicrafts and handlooms from artisans and weavers across the region and retails the same through its chain of “NEHHDC” Emporia located at Shillong, Guwahati, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore and a Sales Promotion Office at Chennai. Moreover it promotes the products at various national and international markets through exhibitions and trade fairs.

BY REGISTERING FOR, ACCESSING, SELLING, BUYING, BROWSING, DOWNLOADING FROM, UPLOADING TO OR USING THE NEHHDC PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING ANY ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES AND FUTURE MODIFICATIONS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “TERMS”). IF AT ANY TIME YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

The following Terms of Use for the NEHHDC Platform is a legal binding agreement between nehhdc.com entity, You (“You”, “Your” or collectively “Users”) comprising of Producer organization users registered on the NEHHDC platform, members of these organizations, Buyers, Suppliers and all other users using the NEHHDC Platform.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the following Terms and Conditions are applicable for all the users of the NEHHDC platform which includes Producer organization Users, Members, Buyers and Suppliers. All references to users using terms such as “You” and/or “Users” shall be applicable to all the users of the NEHHDC platform.

You may not use the NEHHDC Platform and may not accept the Terms if (a) you are not 18 years old or of legal age to form a binding agreement with NEHHDC entity, or (b) you are not permitted to use any Services under the laws of Republic of India or other countries / regions including the country / region in which you are resident or from which you use the Services.

Your use of the NEHHDC Platform is subject to the following Terms and Conditions, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the terms and conditions at any time at: https://nehhdc.com/content/terms-and-conditions. In addition, when using particular NEHHDC Platform services, you may be subject to guidelines or rules or additional terms (which may be posted from time to time) applicable to such services and which are incorporated by reference. All such guidelines or rules are hereby incorporated by reference into the Terms and Conditions. The NEHHDC Platform may also offer other services that are governed by different Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

The NEHHDC Platform is not available to users if (a) you are at least 18 years old or of legal age to form a binding contract with NEHHDC entity, or (b) you are not permitted to use any Services under the laws of Republic of India or other countries / regions including the country / region in which you are resident or from which you use the Services and (c) to any users previously suspended or removed from the NEHHDC Platform by NEHHDC entity.

BY ACCESSING, BROWSING, DOWNLOADING, UPLOADING, BUYING, SELLING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE NEHHDC PLATFORM, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE OF THE REQUIRED LEGAL AGE AND ARE PERMITTED BY THE COUNTRY/REGIONAL/LOCAL LAW APPLICABLE AND HAVE NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY SUSPENDED OR REMOVED FROM THE NEHHDC PLATFORM.

2. Individual Features and Services

When using the NEHHDC Platform, You will be subject to any additional posted guidelines or rules applicable to specific services and features which may be posted from time to time (the “Guidelines”). All such Guidelines are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms.

3. Modification of these Terms

NEHHDC reserves the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, amend, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time. Please check these Terms and any Guidelines periodically for changes. Your continued use of the NEHHDC Platform after the posting of changes constitutes Your binding acceptance of such changes. For any material changes to these Terms, such amended terms will automatically be effective thirty days after they are initially posted on the NEHHDC Platform. We will always make a reasonable effort to notify You if we do change these Terms.

4. NEHHDC Platform License Grant

4.1 License Grant to Upload

Subject to Your compliance with the terms and conditions set out in this Terms of Use, NEHHDC hereby grants to You a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, freely revocable license to use the NEHHDC Platform for Producer organization organizations, businesses and individuals alike including uploading content and downloading content available on the website. Users can upload content to the NEHHDC Platform including but not limited to details of the Producer organizations, the product and service offered for sale, prices and related information and is hereinafter referred to as “User Content”. User Content is uploaded at Your own risk. Notwithstanding any obligations hereunder of NEHHDC to protect User Content with security measures, NEHHDC cannot guarantee that there will be no unauthorized copying, distribution or corruption of User Content nor will NEHHDC be liable for any copying, usage or corruption of the User Content not authorized by NEHHDC.

4.2 License Grant to Download

Subject to Your compliance with the terms and conditions set out in this Terms of Use, NEHHDC hereby grants to You a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, freely revocable license to view and download User Content solely through the NEHHDC Platform subject to the license under which such User Content is distributed.

4.3 License Grant to Co-operatives to e-listing Products and Services

Such a listing can include commercially reasonable information related to the products which are subject matter of your business such as description of the offered Products and Services and their availability, prices of the offered Products and Services and any other such information like product specifications that are relevant in helping the purchaser in deciding to buy the offered Products and Services.
You may also additionally list your own terms and conditions over and above those imposed by NEHHDC while offering to sell Your Products and services such as price of the product, geographical area for delivery of the purchased products and mode of payment. These additional terms constitute an agreement between Yourself and the Buyers of the Products and Services offered by You and NEHHDC is not bound by the Terms and Conditions listed by you on the NEHHDC Platform and shall in no way release Yourself and the Buyers of the Products and Services offered by You from any of the obligations, restrictions and in general all the sections set forth in this Terms and Conditions document.
Notwithstanding any obligations hereunder of NEHHDC under the provisions of this Terms and Conditions document, NEHHDC shall not be liable for the successful completion of the purchase of the Products and Services offered by you by the Buyers including but not limited to full payment, delivery indicated order in the NEHHDC Platform and it is Your sole and complete responsibility for ensuring the successful completion of the purchase of the Products and Services offered by you by the Buyers including but not limited to full payment, taking the delivery at the time and location indicated at the time of placing the purchase order in the NEHHDC Platform.

5. User Conduct

You agree that you shall not upload, post, transmit, distribute, or otherwise publish through the NEHHDC Platform any materials which restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the NEHHDC Platform, are unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable, or which constitute or encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and icons are proprietary to NEHHDC or its affiliates or agents. Nothing contained on the NEHHDC Platform should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark displayed on this platform without the written permission of NEHHDC or such third party that may own the trademarks displayed. Your use of the trademarks displayed, or any other content on the NEHHDC Platform, except as provided herein, is strictly prohibited.

7. Termination

NEHHDC may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the NEHHDC Platform for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of these Terms. In the event these Terms are terminated, the restrictions regarding materials appearing on the NEHHDC Platform and the representations and warranties, indemnities, and limitations of liabilities set forth in these Terms shall survive any such termination.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within Guwahati, Assam, India.
